How we make our soap We use the cold-process soap making method for all our handmade soap. We use a specific measure of our ingredients combined with our lye/water mixture to produce saponification which is a chemical reaction necessary to create soap. We measure the oils melt and add the lye/water mixture and then use a stick blender to do the rest.
Once we reach trace (a point in which you will see trailing of the mix when it thickens) we add the essential oils and additives then pour into our molds.
Once the soap has set and is released from our molds we then cut and place in our curing room for around 6 weeks.
This allows the bars to dry and cure to create a nice long lasting high quality soap. Ph balance is very important to our skin, we test and archive all batches for future reference and to insure that the proper Ph balance is achieved. Special ingredients are always a nice added bonus in soap but can sometimes increase curing time, or the hardness factor of some soap. This is a natural and completely normal attribute of some additives. This will not diminish the quality of the soap in any way. We use: Organic Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Safflower Oil, Sunflower Oil, Avocado Oil and soybean oil. We also use natural essential oils in our soap. We color our soap with mica which is all natural.
